Hello i recently got a jio fiber connection at my home but i am facing connectivity issues due to low signal as i live in a 3 story house with each floor measuring 2500 sft,The jio router is placed on the second floor of which i dont get proper signal even in the second floor so i have added my old D-Link 2750u router next to jio router and connected it with lan and than i have connected a dlink dap 1330 repeater to dlink modem via wifi to extend the range to the ground floor and for the third floor i have added a mi router to dlink 2750u via wifi to extend range, but i am facing connectivity issues sometimes like slow speed, sometimes its not working sometimes some webpages not opening,so please tell me what to change and how to configure them properly.

I am using dlink 2750 u because after i connected it to lan with jio router, i got a wifi speed of 90+mbps whereas jio routers maximum touched to 70 mbps, thats y i am repeating it via dlink to other floors.

other issue i have is my jio stb is not working, its diplaying no apps, only a movie player and nothing else,i am on bronze 699 plan

If you are just having issues with sites not loading, try to change the DNS Server to Cloudfare or Google.

If the Lan port works as WAN then use it as Router mode. Set the Router IP as 192.168.1.1, Enable DCHP Server.
Change the DNS to Cloudfare (1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1). Wan/Internet connection type set to 'Automatic'. See if this works for you.

Thanks all good now,i tried to disable dhcp on second router(D-Link) but than i was getting error while watching Hotstar, jio cinema etc. on the stb and on mobile phones as well.(content was not playing)
Changed the second routers ip to 192.168.29.2 and set dhcp to 192.168.29.5 to 192.168.29.60 on jio ont and 192.168.29.61 to 192.168.29.99 on dlink router and disabled upnp on dlink router.
Kept the dns option from the isp on jio ont and its working fine.
Also changed the wifi channel on dlink router to 9.

may be this helps someone with the same issue.

I have a hotstar vip subscription purchased separately and for jiocinema i can use jio sim’s id to login.
Will it work?

You never told you had STB as well. STB needs to be connected to Jio ONT. I have it like that. For all other connections I use the Asus Router in Router mode ( DCHP enabled). That would have also worked for you. But Now I understand your Jio ONT and STB are not at same location. Great that you managed to get it working.

Yes actually i have installed jio ont in the open lobby of the house so that repeaters from other floors can reach it,now my stb works fine to whichever repeater i connect it to but only after enabling DHCP on the D-Link router coz all repeaters are connected to it.

Rich Boy, You need Mesh WiFi.

Get yourself 10-20K Mesh WiFi.

You don’t get mesh WiFi for a 7500 sq ft house in 20k. With a 7500 sq ft house mesh wifi may or may not cut it. Whether you go with mesh WiFi or Ubiquiti, be prepared to shell around 1 lakh or more if your house is really 7500 sq ft. My house is 3500+sq ft and I’ve spent around 75k.

If you go with Orbi, you would need 3 access points on each floor. Maybe 4 per floor. Orbi isn’t designed to be used with so many satellites.

In Mesh your option would be to get something like a TP-Link Deco M9 Plus and have one node in each room. In total you might need 15 or so. So around 1.5 lakhs.

Alternately, go with Ubiquiti. You’ll probably need 3-4 per floor. You could get a basic router as an AP but that might not lead to perfect handoff in roaming.

You are taking with someone who is already using one in his own office. I come with experience. If you have a counter next time be free to speak without quoting me.

Just in case if you don't know, Ubiquiti AP are weak. It will go beyond 2Lac if he goes with UI.
