Reva is very common in bangalore(Actually Reva is Bangalore based company :) ).So people treat/see it as a normal car and not as something thrown from sky!

Hello all,

I have been researching various models and would like to buy a green car. I am fascinated by the 'Reva' car and most probably would buy one. The cost of the car is around 4 lakhs, but running costs are extremely low. ..
First read this article which actually strengthen my opinion about the car
http://trafficexpert.wordpress.com/

Bottom line - It is a high price that u pay initially, but is beneficial in the long run. And ... the most important thing -- you are reducing the pollution, saving our mother earth!

Looking forward to comments/criticisms.
Thanks

Not fit for Bangalore roads, with the kinds of jam and traffic one has here, u will be left high and dry on batteries if you drove the same , its probably good for driving short distances and for 2 people,

I think there was a thread started on this topic in the last week or 10 days. Let's move the discussion there.

The only thing I would say is that IMHO hybrids / electric cars have not been shown to be as environmentally friendly as one guesses common-sensically. After all the manufacturing of batteries is a really horrible polluting process. And electricity is still majorly dependent on coal. So all it is, is that the pollution isn't coming from your car directly, so the average consumer feels like he/she is doing a great thing, but in the absence of adequate studies we don't really know if this is really true.

am thinkin this is a spam thread started by the reva guys!:P
