I installed BSNL Dataone broadband on 16 May. Will the download limit be revised on 16 June(i.e after a month of activation) or on 1st June ?I cant access my portal due to some renovation work going on there....

I guess it would be this way......They would be charging you half the rental (since its 15 days), providing you half of the download limit, and normal usage would resume from 1st of the next month.

I think its not like dat with BSNL Dataone service, as i was provided full download (1.5GB as with home 500c plan) for the last month...

bsnl computes the data limit by using per day limit into account.if you get your connection on 17th of month(30 days) then your limit will be--->no.of days remaining*(total limit for the month/30).

i think bsnl do not use such method. then why are they charging full rental even if you get broadband connection in month starting date or middle or month end.:| when i got my broadband connection on 6th sept 2007, they charged me full rental for 25 days. i think there is no data limit. when we pay full rental for even half month, they must give full data limit :D

i forgot to add even the bill is calculated on this same basis.if you get the connection on 15th of month rental will be half of that month with half the usage limit.at least here in my district this method is used & i have confirmed reports from various users from chennai,UP & MP about this.

bsnl andhra pradesh is charging full rental. i also asked them the question - if i disconnect broadband in the middle of the month do the bill will be calculated for used period?plain and simple answer from them - pay the full bill:@ another twist is that if we drop in middle of minimum hire period, we must pay the bill for leftover time also. they take our deposits and adjust them with the bill :@

that's the first time i am hearing about something like this!!

yes it is. i asked yesterday. the csc executive told me we must pay for that also. otherwise they will take our deposits and still send the bill if any dues present:cry:
