Do you mean to say that minimum plan for Triple Play services will be starting from Rs 300 ? If it is true , it is really disruptive pricing . All DTH and LCO players have to shut their shop .
A lot of time had passed between that AGM declaration and the roll out of paid service. Here it is just 3 weeks.
What would they gain by providing fake information to the AGM and the media for a few weeks? Of course they can and probably will give introductory offers which will reduce the price for a while.
@Lobogris Exactly....it will be 700 officially....but lets say they give 30% discount for 1 year or more so it will be around 500.. Just imagine if 500 is the lowest package then their ARPU will be minimum 500 p.m which is a huge amount.
I am more concerned about data caps instead of price. Airtel is offering 100 Mbps unlimited data for Rs. 1100 per month (including GST). This is the benchmark with which I would be judging Jio plans.
This time.... it will be reality check for Jio........ Triple play will not be piece of cake........ Airtel definitely has upper hand...... Jio will never be able to match Quality of Service through LCO....... and not only that....... if in LCO mode........ these small players like Excitel etc...and other regional players will be a nightmare for Jio, unless he buys them out or any other underarm tactics..... @700/- Jio will not able to sell in cities where other local players are active.......
I will not buy Jio even @400/-....... I will preferably pay @500 to local player because of the stats/ restrictions/ feedback which are given by gigafiber preview user......
