Rumored Reliance Jio Fiber Broadband Plans

@Sushubh Airtel doesn't? I asked the customer care they flat out refused they offer landline portability facility.

Haven't asked myself.

Yeah, I saw this post, that's why when Airtel launched their services here I thought I would port my BSNL landline to Airtel and keep airtel as my second connection. However, when I asked via twitter they called me and informed they don't have landline number porting facility

Yeah we shouldn't be comparing to the US as it is not very advanced in broadband area. We should compare more to eastern/asian countries like South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong etc who are the real front-runners in speeds and pricing.

And also Eastern Europe and Nordic countries are better in internet than USA on speeds and price aspect.

Jio fiber has the same infrastructure through out whole country. But i think having pan india plans will make it difficult to compete with Local ISP's. Even airtel has different plans in different regions.

Most of you people might be from metro cities. I am from bhopal and Jio Fiber here is pretty much a no brainer.

And before Jio 4g most people used 1gb per MONTH. but now people even consume 1.5gb per day. If you get 1gbps broadband there will emerge application for it. There is a famous saying "If you breed a faster horse someone will make a better track". Jio has most of their infrastructure as fiber so of course it makes sense to exploit it and offer 100mbps.

So if i had to come up with plans they would be (Except for metro cities):
700 - 100mbps 1tb data with iptv
900 - 200 mbps 1tbb with iptv
1200 - 500mbps 1tb with iptv
1500 - 1gbps with iptv

You are talking about mobile broadband. 1Gb per month was not on home broadband. Most connections had at least 100 Gb fup.

I wonder why everyone is speculating 1gbps plans below 2k. I am equally excited and looking forward for some magic, but that's way too less to expect a 1Gbps plan. The Entry level plan for 1Gbps won't start less 4-5K. If the 1Gbps plans were to cost less than 2K then who would they sell the 1 lakh plan :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

What my point is that when we got the change to use more for less we someone how used it and made applications. Apps like TikTok(Sorry), Streaming, and youtube wouldn't be there if it weren't for more data for less money.

Point being if people had 100mbps broadband all over india we would start to use it and automatically applications would also step up.

In jio's agm they talk about VR and shopping from home automation and IOT, which maybe in very distant future. The first step is high speed broadband. Thats what they are doing

What I don't understand is why they haven't explained the procedure properly till now. The current packs expire tomorrow presumably at midnight but we don't know what plans they will have. So at face value, all customers will not have any Internet access on the 5th when they are supposed to announce the plans. They will probably give some grace period and everyone will get some 100 Gb pack valid for say 10 days tomorrow night. However it would have been better if they had clarified this beforehand instead of making their customers wait and wonder. Why can't they explain by what date we neex to recharge?
I have a feeling that they will end up extending the free period by another month at least.
