Rumored Reliance Jio Fiber Broadband Plans

Just called the JioFiber customer care, she said that plans will be updated at midnight and then you can choose the plans. Lol this is the worst way they could launch the service.

Just checked MyJio app validity is still 4th September.
 
When I checked which a Jio rep yesterday on when the STB will be available, he said "5th Sep". (No further communication after that).

How are they going to give STBs to everyone with JiFiber tomorrow? And I believe, it will be based on the plan we will be selecting midnight. Won't it be a logistics nightmare?! Or will they pull it off?!
 
We will get some grace period to opt for the plan..my plan which was valid till today is now showing valid till 20th sep..so it will be enough time to choose a plan..and be rest assured they r not going to chrge for 2-3 months because many logistic requirements related to hayhway and den is still pending.
 
jio is not ready for tv service yet, agreements with lco is not finalized thats why all the delay.
DTH barely goes down, tv service will be really challenging for jio.
 
@coolsam07 Jio care is just another meme care. I bet you just call up them again now and you'll hear another verdict. Even though tthe plans are launched tonight whick is unlikely, people will have 5 days buffer atleast to move to the other plans. STB's would be distributed with due course of time and timeframes would vary from city to city like JioFibre Installations.
 
I gathered that STBs are at our area stores. The activation procsdure and permission to distribute based on who selected and and paid for a particular plan are also required to be known. So start of delivery of STBs may take a couple of days. In the mean time net connectivity will be ensured by an extension of validity of current plan for some more days.

@yougotmehere I didn't call up their customer care. I got info from the local rep. 😀

Their customer care is a joke. Heard that they will be setting up local call centers soon to support languages other than Hindi & English.
 
My final guess would be that today at midnight they introduce new plans and give us another 2 months of free usage.
I think we will have to pay for the plan we choose and use it free for next 3 months.
 
I think if Jio fiber is available in your area you will anyway get a advertisement flyer printout paper in your house/society with local contact person number, before getting any reply from the official website :D
