would not make much of a difference. there are some steps people believe help in getting the update faster. but that usually works when the update is being rolled out in a phased manner. Galaxy nexus is already being sold with JB preloaded in usa and probably other markets. so it should arrive automatically faster.

dialing *#*#checkin#*#* from the phone dialer. clear cache of google service framework. these are just assumptions with no proven track record. and these are only applicable on nexus devices from what i have read/heard.

My dad also bought this device. Friend of him was coming from US, hence got it directly from Play store. Does anybody know where to get the screen guard for Galaxy nexus? I searched online. And all I found were the anti glare & matte finish screen guards. These anti glare screen guard reduces the display resolution a little. Are there any crystal clear screen guards available for galaxy nexus?
