So wat. No custom rom (Both AOSP & cynogen) is stable as stock. So if you want a stable rom without bloatwares. Just root & remove the bloated apps ...
I have yet to find a 4 row keyboard which is better than Samsung's touchwiz one. AOSP keyboards don't have the 4th row of numbers.
So I am finally back on Stock.
I am using my Note 2 for more than a month now and I dont find the need to root it. The bloatware is an issue if it slows down the phone or eats up battery. Both issues are not there in Note 2. There is no lag no matter what one is doing on the phone and battery life is excellent.
I did root my previous phones namely HTC Sensation and HTC Desire. That was because HTC stopped official upgrades. But Note 2 'may' get Android 4.3 (fingers crossed). So until there is a final word on this issue from Samsung, I wont root my phone.
As DNA_Uncut has suggested you could just root the phone thereby getting all its benefits and still continue using the stock ROM.
I hate touchwiz and like AOSP/CM roms so that is the first thing i do after getting a Samsung device
Me too. Running Pacman. And after coming from the HTC One X, this used to be laggy comparison until I rooted it.
