Kies is dead meat. No update available there too and as always Samsung india has no official announcement.

It happened to me too when an update was for my Note 2, and i used Kies immediately to get update without any problems

JB 4.1.1 was already there. Now I am getting 4.1.2 which hopefully will be having Premium Suite Update too.

Congrats. A friend of mine has the SIII and she is still on ICS. She said that JB isn't released for SIII yet. That's why I thought that you got the JB update now. Anyway, what is a safer method to update, Kies or Phone itself. She wants to me update it for her as she is scared. :/
