GT-i9020 is the codename for Nexus S.

indeed. Whenever someone (non-geeks) as my mobile model number, I say its Samsung Galaxy S I9000.Still confused they ask which Galaxy S, i have to tell them that its the costliest Galaxy S.

i do now that it has tons of variants being sold in the US market. Fascinate etc.

argh. Galaxy s is a particular branch of the android platform from samsung. just like galaxy tab is the branch for tablets. galaxy s is pretty different from galaxy 3 and galaxy 5!
