I dont remember the name of the STB but i think it ends with some conmax or something else..............but till date i have not faced any problem with the STB..........regarding channel switching it takes very less time or i would say channel switching of TS and SCV CAS are same..........EPG is provided only for few channels and that too it is provided for the current program and the next program......EPG really sucks in SCV STB
........The best thing is that in the favoruite channel list you can add as much channels you want and the great thing i like in that is that we can rearrage the channel list as per our wish........

EPG is good in Hathway , but picture quality wise SCV is the King.
In hathway you can only add 15 channels as favorite and no channel re-arrange or delete option.

Hmmm......my cable oeprator switched to hathway for 2 hrs 2 days back in i was delighted to see more tamil channels especially music channels in hathway such as Ulagam, Murasu, AMN, C Chennai............in that aspect i like hathway......:cool2:
Aju, they are not Music channels they are local cable channels , they will show movie and some other programs as well.

I know that very well..........the thing is that i needed those kind of channels too which is lacking in SCV its because of their dominance........every wehre in tamilnadu the cable operator shows atleast 3 - 4 channels of theirs......but in SCV cable they dont show anything because of their monopoly which is what i hate in SCV...........apart from that i dont have any problem with SCV.........
apart from that i dont have any problem with SCV.........

I dont know how come you ae asking this question...........anyway it works provided if the signal comes in your cable line.........

@mailtoviki In hathway you can only add 15 channels as favorite and no channel re-arrange or delete option. friend hathway provides 20 channels as favorite..check it out@mailtoviki hathway provides 20 channels as favorite.

Finally my cable operator change my area cable line to hathway on saturday morning 10.00 AM and then i called my cable operator and i told him to replace my SCV STB with Hathway STB and they told me that they will do the need ful in 1 hrs time and with in 1 hr they came to my house and replaced my SCV STB with Hatway STB.........
First of all regarding the normal cable line Hathway gives 74 channels in their platform where as SCV gives around 60 channels only.......Hathwy gives 4 -5 cable channels which are not there in SCV which i like it with hathway.........one important thing about Hathway line for me is that i am getting 74 channels with clear picture where in my SCV connection i used to get only 30 channels clear of out of 60 channels........
Comparing between SCV STB and Hathway STB i like SCV STB only its purely because of funcationality of SCV remote..........yes there some good things in Hathway STB where in they are good in EPG and SEt Timer which SCV does not have but i like some of the feature in SCV which are missing in Hathway STB............but the picutre quality of Hathway and SCV reamins the same for me but in normal cable hathway gives more channels and they give all the channels in clear mode unlike SCV..........

My cable operator has given me Cisco STB for Hathway connection in which i can create Favourite List with name and i could store 80 channels in it and the channels can be rearranged as per our wish only in favourite list only.........
Curretnly by default my cable has given some 160 package but i have chosen only 11 or 12 pay channels only and paid for that only and added that they would cut the remaining channels at the earliest but till now they have not cut the rest of the channels for me...........
