oh yeah really . Someone takes my ip and now even i cant change ip and login . Isnt that great ?? and see the threads and probs people have ranging from speed to dns resolution and stupid customercare who knows nothin except playing pingpong or pacman

They give economical prices? Ever wondered what the effects of lost connectivity are? I have shifted 5 ISPs for this reason, and simply can't understand how these poor people can tolerate sify. The moment they get ANY alternative, they WILL jump ship.

Sorry, we have LOT of things to do in life, but still sify users feel "rocked" enough to need a place for others like themselves. Plenty of ppl here have sometimes cheered up saying its now good - but the joy's been short-lived. If they make our life normal, we don't need to be frustrated anymore.

Does sify have a "dialer" in linux, btw? Oh, tell me why the heck you can't follow standards (and instead need proprietary software) and use protocols already supported by OSes on the market?

who are you to decide that sify is no 1 the forum is full with sify's bad service & by the way you said that we get logged off after some time due to a virus this shows your knowledge it is the sify's heartbeat function & if you think it is a virus then give Me the name of it. when i got sify they said sir it is a unlimited connection you can download as much as you want but my speed was reduced after every 4 hours i asked CC 20 times a day they had only 1 answer sir this is due to heavy load on line but after making plenty of call's they admitted the 100mb cap they are cheating openly & you are saying them no 1 EVERY PRODUCT HAS SOME NEGATIVE POINTS BUT SIFY IS FULL OF NEGATIVE POINTS IF SOME THING IS GOOG IT IS REALLY GOOD WE ARE NOT MAD TO ABUSE SIFY. IF YOU THINK SIFY IS GOOD LET'S HAVE A POLL AGAIN

Mr. Sify Officer you're not making any sense. Merely pleading with people to talk positively about Sify and support it won't make them do so. Talk logically please.And your arguments about viruses and the need for people to use their computers properly are just so idiotic that I don't know whether to laugh or cry. If such people are managing Sify then Sify is not an ISP but a comedy serial.Good night and before going I would like to say this, Sify doesn't know how to run an ISP in my opinion.

The virus could be win32.Funlove....(can't remember what was that virus)but believe meI never had a problem with download For 2 weeks i got speeds of 100-300KB/s and i downloaded more than 1Gb in those days.So there is no restriction on download/dayIf your speed gets slow then ask for a new IP from customer support .Hope it solves your problem(it should).and don't make this forum a anti-Sify forum

FUNLOVE VIRUS this makes me laugh :lol: :lol: :lol: sify people has admited that they have a function named as heartbeat which is the reason for disconnecting if you will ask they will disable it. they also admitted that they have speed limits & if you want proof i can provide it i recorded all the conversations with sify guys as a proof. i have 275 sify users who are ready to sue sify & by the way if you are getting 100 kb then remind it to sify then see what happens

yaa there is a heartbeat function included in the client.Just delete this file from the installation folder to turn off heartbeat.This had some problem when a virus existed in the system.So better to delete that file ok.Peaceand speed depends on networkif speed is slow plaese please change your IPand there are no downlaod limits but sify demands that downlodd should be < 100MB/day.But it is not a strict rule.It is just to eradicate people of cybercafes from using Sify unld. connectionHope u got my point
