What the....!You can't change your default gateway just like that. Does subnet mask make any sense to you? A subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 for each CTO LAN means only the last number(octet) in a 10.x.x.x form can change.If you change your gateway to some arbitrary number, your data packets will go nowhere, they will get dropped.Why are you still coming up with stupid ways to justify that the data transfer cap of Sify is not there? You're sounding like the half-witted CTOs that Sify has unleashed on us, which is not surprising because you are a CTO and half-witted.

He may give you the list of gateways
But don't use arbitary numbers
Use gateways existing in the network
While in my LAN i have 3 gatewys
10.21.199.1, 10.21.137.1, 10.21.112.1

Like if u are on 10.21.99.* and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 as it is given almost everywhere ... then u need ur packets to go through gateway for any ip other than those in 10.21.99.* . And putting ur neighbouring gateways is just an @$$h*ole idea . So shut ur mouth and stop typing anything . This is f*king rdiculous. Just get lost Sify Officer. Why would I keep sitting in from of my system monitoring it day and night for connection drops or speed problems.YOU THINK THE USERS ARE MAD?Why bare this inconvenience of changing gateways and IP's altogether and switch to a better ISP. viz. Airtel !!
hehe Sify Officer started with claiming that reduced speeds could be gotten around by changing our IPs and now that it's been reminded to him that IP-MAC binding doesn't let us do that now, he starts talking nonsense about changing the gateway.All this when our speeds were never governed by what IPs we used or anything else but by our Username and P@$$word. That's what authenticates us and sets our package parameters which includes our speed, and now our IP address and MAC address are a part of the authentication process.So Sify Officer's pronouncements are nothing but lies and bullsh*t.
Bhaisahib...... if u want to simply bug people and irritate them... why not go someplace else. Call up the customer care people and bore them. Make them listen to your experiences. Give them the feedback, not us. You just might become their privileged customer or something.If you think we are all biased in our opinions........ then guess what you are absolutely right!!!You talk such nonsense that even the sify customer care will ban ur number.
