On 48 k unlimited people are getting around 12 kBps , Mahesh since tou have 64kpakage what speeds are you getting.

I just checked the product list and it mentions both 48 and 64 packs having speeds of upto 64 kbps. Still their prices differ by Rs. 250 here. Wonder what's the difference between them? Maybe the lowest speed the 64 packs can go to is higher than that for the 48 packs? Or maybe the 64 packs have higher speeds?

I have been on 48K for the last 2 months. I am getting around 12- 14 KBps.

The speed is same on both packs.

well they have deducted one day of validity but i can't understand did they deducted it because of the downloads i did yesterday in the day or because of usage in nights before that

ps - i have lost three days of my validity this month till now

Can't download any stuff here at night. The damn connection stays down all night ROFL. Sify has an uptime of 50 % as per my experiences under 2 CTOs now.

i tried and dloaded 300 mb one night .. taht too 4 days b4r but still now noo day is deducted .. Package is 128 kbps UNLIMITED and max dload speed is 12 KB/s :(

I think it's makes more sense to go for the cheapest "Limited-Unlimited" package (48 kbps) coz' with a higher speed you are anyways more likely to exceed the "Unlimited-Limit" of 150/200 MB in a given day, especially during unattended downloads and have your validity lopped off. So lets spread the word around and called for anationwide boycott of s(h)if(t)y's hi-speed (sic!) regular packages. Ye customers of s(h)if(t)y's Fraud-Brand®, Unite, you have nothing to lose but your outrage. I feel likeI've been castrated after having 4 days lopped off from my package last week.

yes its official , download limits does not apply on night packages

"For all Shared packs (Excluding Night Unlimited Shared), if usage exceeds more than 150 MB in a given day, then there will be a reduction in validity of one day for every 25 MB of extra usage in that calender day. NOT FOR CYBERCAFE USE. "

but cant believe them

and i didnt see this

they hav changed the pack names
its no more "unlimited plan" (anyway it wasnt)
now its "family pack range"

I'm so confused right now. I am on 48kbps shared, will they deduct the validity If i download only between 10pm and 8am and above 150MB.I thought the deduction rule does not apply to downloads betwenn 10 and 8. Can some1 confirm this.

It's written clearlt that b/w 10-8 no limits applyBut i wud rather caution u till ur next renewal......bcoz they they have changeed the product codes from AXBU to AXBX after 9th....the date coincides the date from when the the new policy applies. All unlimited packs with U in the end have been changed to X
