Hi All, I got a new 3g Data card 3 days back, I am getting very slow speed by an average as 20K/s, But my data card signal shows as "HSPDA" and strength is 70% to 100% Its a teracom card, default APN is "bsnlnet" Do i need to specify any other settings, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

make sure that they have activated 3g data services. otherwise you will get very limited speed

Thansk for the reply, i verified with BSNL, they said its already in activated the 3g mode, but still no improvement, even i re-installed the datacard software but nothing changed in the speed.

Go to some other locations in your city and perform a speedtest at those locations. Compare speedtest results of all locations with that of your present location. Report back.

Thanks,

I think they activated 3G plan in 2G SIM...2 weeks before i took a connection. It was actually 2G. then I migrated to 3G general 120 plan . but i was only getting 20-25 KBps speed. It was actually a 2G SIM. Even 3G is activated in 2G supported SIM , u wont get more than 20-25 KBps speed

no sim has no relation with 2g or 3g i am sure that there is some problem with your 3g activation because the speed you are mentioning is similar to 2g speed.
