Star Cricket launches slew of Cricket programmes

NEW DELHI: Star Cricket has launched a slate of ten feature programmes on cricket, starting today.

Says ESPN Software India managing director R. C. Venkateish, “This new line-up of programs is in line with our overall strategy of showcasing a balanced mix of live as well as feature programs on our networks. The programs capture some of the memorable moments from the world of cricket and we are confident that cricket lovers will enjoy them as always.”

The first programme to begin from today is Cricket Jukebox which will be aired every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 pm. With 26 episodes, the show will showcase some remarkable performances in batting and bowling by players around the world.
From 17 October the sports channel will launch another Extra which will be aired every Friday at 9:30 pm and Saturday at 10 pm. Oriental Masala, which will begin from 18 October at 8 pm every Saturday, will show highlights of some of the best action from World Cup 1996 in the subcontinent, supported by sound bytes from cricketing personalities.
Then starting every Monday at 8 pm from 20 October Calypso will show highlights of some of the best action from World Cup 2007 in the Caribbean. Also from 20 October every Monday at 9:30 World Cup’99 with Wasim Akram will showcase highlights of Pakistan's campaign in World Cup 1999, with links and anecdotes from their skipper Wasim Akram.
Summer of ’99 will start from 21 October every Tuesday at 9:30 pm and will show highlights of India's matches in World Cup 1999.
In addition the channel will also launch other programmes like Champions Trophy Vision, Twenty 20 Visions, Thunder Down Under and War of the Counties for its viewers
