This is a bengali channel of Star TV.If it's a Star Channel, we have no choice since Tata Sky is their own baby.No one cares for customer preferences.

Becoz the contract with ESS expired on 15th march.
and the star package is different ..it contains all start channels
other than ess...whereas ess pay package is diff..
and TRAI allowed Tata Sky to offer Espn channels on a la carte

If that was the case..why there was a problem with ESS..? they are not there baby?
ESS is seperate company formed by ESPN & STAR. But it is not related to STAR group. So ESS was available on DISH TV before any STAR channels were added. And ESS also therefore had some problems with Tata Sky few months ago.
I think STAR NEWS is also seperate company runned by STAR name but managed by some different group. It runs 3 news channels in Hindi, Marathi & Bengali (not newly launched Jolsa)
