ya , tats very ture.
Imagine 100 mb is not enough for 2g network also , den how come for 3g network men.
100 MB for 3G.Better Dont give 3G at all.
I prefer more Wifi Hotspots than 3G.Afterall video calling is not a big deal.
Why are you complaining about "only" 100MB?
First of all, it's a free offer.
Secondly, even if they charged ~Rs100 for this, I'd be fine with paying it for 2 reasons:
[*]Firstly, Vodafone India was charging me about 10ps/10kbytes = Rs10/MB = Rs1000 for 100MB (on prepay, yes, I'm aware I could get a better deal on postpaid),
[*]Secondly, in NZ the LOWEST cost provider gives 50MB for $6 (about Rs180-185) or 1GB for $20 (if you live in the right city, used outside of these areas is $0.50 or Rs17/MB), while Vodafone NZ gives 100MB for $10 (about Rs340).
[/list]
Personally, I'm using about 100-150MB a month at the moment (using sparingly, that is, exclusively on my phone): but that usage still includes things like
Google &
Nokia Maps, emails & attachments, some OTA updates, quite a lot of web browsing (including downloading some PDFs), Twitter, Facebook and a lot of minutes of calling on Fring and/or Nimbuzz.
Granted, 100MB is not enough to tether to your
laptop and start downloading torrents, but 3G is not designed/optimized for this type of usage anyway - even the Scandinavian networks which are notoriously quite good are blocking/restricting this type of activity, and if 3G is to work properly in India, I would personally recommend that the Indian operators do the same.
Frankly, I think you're being bloody ungrateful. I have many friends and contacts working in the company and as many issues as I might have with
Tata as an organization, I congratulate Tata and the team on launching DoCoMo's 3G network, however limited the coverage area may be for the time being. I can only hope it lives up to the DoCoMo name as I have been fortunate enough to experience DoCoMo's network in Japan on several occasions since it was launched there in 2001.
