Tata Sky Disconnection Procedure

I am not happy with my Tata Sky services, so planning to change provider. I sent email to tata sky asking disconnection procedure one month back,

today i received call from call center, my tata sky account has balance of 3000+, if I discontinue now I am not goining to get any amount back as Tata sky policy will not provide any refund. it is part of terms and condistions we have signed.

is it true? I agree that they may not pay digi box amount + installation amount what I paid, but the balance should be paid back to me.

after arguing call center guy, he said after enquiry about this with his manager he will call me back.

please any one knows the procedure let me know.

I dont think so you will get back the money..i.e.3000/-..

3000 bucks will not be refunded to uguess ull have to be wid ts for more than a year

Are they take the digi comp with them, or leave it with us. Because we paid for digicomp, since they not refund any money they should left the box with us.

And another question, if they not refund any money why should we call him, just stop recharge and use this for receive DD Direct+.:dance::yahoo::dance:

Cl. 13.5 in the subscription contract: In case of cancellation, you will forfeit any available balance in your Subscriber Account.I am not sure whether this kind of contract is legally valid. Of course there are this kind of agreemnets as well.When a power of attorney is signed with a developer for buying/development of land, the advance received by the owner (say 25%) need not be returned to the developer if he fails to pay the balance instalments within the stipulated time. This clause is built into the contract. There are many such cases where money paid is not refunded. Only when contested in court, truth will be known.

Do not expect a refund..I guess no other DTH provider refunds the balance..

You are absolutely right kunal no one refunds the balance we got with DTH service provider. If we discontinue we will loose the balance amount with DTH service provider.

Not only DTH. There are many other situations in which money is not refunded. Perhaps marketing guys can quote instances in which advance/downpayment etc. are not refunded if the contract is terminated in the middle. Of course, all these must be explicitly said in the contract.

You are correct tech ethu.........in today life we come across so much things like this and this is not applicable only to DTH..........
