Tata Sky DTH: Suggestions and complaints here

Hi SanjaiRelating to the same, i raised a query in my Tata Sky section on the website.Received a call from the CC. He assured that the box and the dish belongs to the customer, unless the customer has given it in written that he does not want to continue with Tatasky service, They cannot disconnect ur service until they receive anything in written.I even asked him what if i don't recharge my account for 1year?He said " When u wish to reactivate ur account, call the CC, tell them ur going to recharge and ask them to activate ur card. He assured me that there are no hidden reactivation charges. " [Yeah! I hope! :hysterical:]If anybody planning to deactivate don't take my word for it, better confirm the same with the CC and do so, as when i asked a mail from the CC reassuring me the same, he said he could not give it in written as it is against the company policy. Over the 30 min call he reassured me over 10 times. I even threatened to deactivate the service ,only to receive a reply, ok sir u can do so.. but u will forfeit the 1550 Rs balance on ur account , What an idiot i must be :rofl: even the cc knows that this person will not deactivate unless the balance is zero :rofl:

Deactivation is something drastically different from cancellation !
If you do not recharge your account , the account gets deactivated automatically after 3 days ( called the grace period by TSky ).

But if you give a written request to TSky stating that you are cancelling the connection; according to their Terms and Conditions, you are required to return the dish, LNB and Cable to TSKY !.

I had a conversation with a TSKY official regarding this for about an hour . In the end, he had to admit that the terms and conditions are unfair ! This is what needs to be changed. They must re-interpret or change their terms and conditions. The guy was asking me what good the dish would be for me after I have cancelled the connection. I replied that TSKY, or for that matter, any corporate organisation, need not be bothered about what the customer will do with their product because the customer has already paid for the product in full . In the end, he told me that TSky won't come after a customer for collecting the Dish and LNB after he has applied for cancellation. My whole point is that TSKy should change their unfair Tand C regarding the product.

If the STB is our property then WHO are they to lock it? It should not have been locked in the first place. You should know that they will charge for reactivating the Smartcard if we didn't renew for 6months I think.
 
umm u bought a locked stb. they are not stopping you from unlocking it. same case with locked mobile phones. they are cheaper coz they are locked. but you are free to unlock them provided you know how to. and where to use the unlocked handset :P
 
If I use Jtag to unlock it then it won't decode TS channels anymore. Only option for us if they had provided any secret menus. TS stbs are not cheaper either. I can buy a good stb for Rs.1500. Great stbs like Dreambox for Rs.4500 which will allow us to watch TS even without paying (via cardsharing over internet). Incase of moblie phone they are cheaper than market rate. Moreover we have an option to use the sim in any mobile phone. Neither is the case with TS or Dish tv or Sun dth or Big dth.

Therefore i tried again and made another purchase which again showed transaction could not be processed.However, both times amount was debited from my account. I had called the customer care tatasky to confirm on the same, they agreed to the transaction but are unable to give a status.I want my money back for both transaction at the earliest.It has been pending for long. Customer care has no idea about tackling this situation. i have details on bank transaction and my communication with the bank on debit of Rs 1999/- two times from the account.Please guide on how can i get my money back, this is customer harrassment. regardsVishweta
 
I've been asking them to add Zee Sports (as a separate a la carte like Ten Sports) since they started telecasting UEFA champions league this season but the only reply I get is 'we are monitoring the subscribers' request for channels'.
 
we are monitoring.... blah. i have been monitoring the situation in the market and it's grim.

Hey buddy just chilax......for me also it happend 1 time in which an amount of Rs. 5000 was debited from my account but it was not reflecting in TS account .........the thing is that if the amount is not credited to the TS account then the money will be reversed to your account in 5 working days.......
