Tata Sky launches PVR before time

Both the old players Tata Sky and Dish were expected to launch their PVR during diwali, but Tata Sky was prompt enough to launch it before anyone else. One can comment on the quality on after its commercial usage. But on the face of it the features are quite interesting. One can pause the live television & rewind it as well. Not to mention the recording of your favourite programmes. One can also set a recording for a particular soap everytime its new episode is telecasted. It seems like television industry is heading for a revolution. Although priced at Rs 8999, for non TS customer, am sure there will be buyers out in the market. Being a TS customer I am waiting for them to announce the price for existing users.

Am sure other players have lot to learn from this launch but they will have to come up with something interesting enough to stay in the race.

Sure, the existing players are coming more than TS. As dish wud come with hdmi ports and 140 hours recording which is more than TS. HDMI port even with sd trasmission wud give better picture and audio quality.

140 hours is definitely good if et all they come up but I think 45 hours is a decent recording time for anyone. Dont think that would make too much of a difference. And more recording time means it will impact the price as well
