The Ridiculous Airtel Broadband Plans

Dangerous.
In Mumbai, Airtel wants you to pay at 20 Paisa per MB for extra usage after FUP Limit...
That too on an earth shattering speed of 256 KBPS...
Wow... And i thought there is a limit to how mean they can be!
 
I guess those are errors. The website do not show the latest plans yet in any case. Email 121 and ask for the new plans.
 
But the language is specific "Rate applicable post data transfer quota" All plans have FUP limits.

Yes, and it should say NIL for those plans. They have included that row for limited plans like Ace 3GBm Alpha 3GB etc.
 
1. Can I get Rapid 175GB 8mbps Rs. 2599 plan at my place?
2. What is the upload speeds on various Fibrenet plans?
3. How are you offering landline phone on your FTTH plans? From what I understand FTTH does not support regular landline phones.

asked these three questions. i would get the answers for the first two on monday. the third question? answer was confusing. i have no idea how they are going to deliver landline phones on ftth because from what i understand fiber does not support landline... you need copper for that.
 
I was informed that 8mbps is not feasible at my place. What a bummer. There's no Turbo 175GB plan. I'm stuck with Turbo 150GB. :-(
 
yeah. this is why i am so freaking annoyed with that management dude at airtel who said that speed costs money. i mean fine... as per him speed and data both costs money. so why charge a premium for both? why do i need to take a 8mbps plan just to get 175GB data? why cannot i have it at 4mbps or 2mbps or hell even 1mbps? in the end, the consumer is being forced to go for a higher speed connection which he probably does not need just because he is so squeezed out of data.
