I think I started on cable internet. Had 32kbps or 64kbps. do not remember. moved to airtel dsl with 128kbps and yes it was bloody fast and bloody smooth. no disconnections etc.
Also I remember that my cable guy used to run a caching proxy on his server so basically... Web pages got cached as soon as someone loaded them. I worked as a web developer sort of at that time and it was a pain editing web pages of the company I worked for.

And while enquiring the retailer he said that you can browse unlimited and we just count the limit only for download. And so 15gb is enough for you.
