Hi Friends,I am from Delhi-dwarka.. called tikona cc they said a guy will come on Wednesday regarding demo.. currently using Airtel... will go for 300kbps plan for which I have 2 pay only 599.. will update after the meeting.

there seems to be one more problem with Tikona's internet. if you have a computer or a laptop then its still ok, but if you have a smart phone, you cant use their internet on them at all.

Hi All.. I live in Bangalore. I have never used any broadband connections till now. I want to get broadband connection at home. My requirements in beginning would be around 5GB free usage and considerable upload/download speed. I may take unlimited plans too. Recently I came across 'Tikona WiBro'. They distributed their leaf lets about this new broadband provider in our city. I found the rates and features impressive. Its comparatively cheaper and provides good speed and plans.Since I have never used any broadband connection, I would like to know some sincere feedback and reviews for this provider. I have read many threads here in IBF , but found mixed responses.I don't remember much of my system (desktop) configuration at present. However, few details are as below:Dual Core processor, 2 GB RAMI'll post the necessary details soon. Expecting helpful advice from experts here !Have fun! :P

Are there any Tikona users who have not paid the initial Rs.500 installation charges?I read somewhere that for some building societies they have waived off installation charges for residents in lieu of the permission to setup their towers in the building. My building society has allowed these guys to setup 6 towers and they still charge residents installation charges. Further, our building society has the only tall buildings in the vicinity which helps them get the signal from the nearest train station. (Tikona works with Railnet) and then distribute them in neighbouring societies that don't have tall buildings.Any info on the waiver of installation will help me convince my society's management to renegotiate with these guys.

Your society secretary/members have been taken for a ride.Any Lease /legal Document Signed ?Any exemption/permission taken for Putting Towers on top of Bldg from Municipal authorities ( safety aspects)Did the Secretary issue a general circular /notice to all members ?For each tower rentals/lease as high as Rs 20,000 P?M can be charged , and all members couldhave avoided monthly contributions for / maintenance/ Watchman etc with this agreement.A similar offer was made to me/us by ZYLOG/ franchisee here in Chennai. All residents need not necessarily opt for TIKONA, unless it is the ONLY way to connect to Internet.and all residents may not be interested in getting an Internet BB connection.Cellphone access is possible now. Call for a meeting of the Society immediately.

Earlier, I was using airtel gprs(Slow Browsing) through my mobile. Then I heard about Tikona 4G launching in Indore. Now I am having Tikona's 499 unlimited plan for my home. Surprisingly, What I found that , this Tikona broadband is far slower than gprs. Even their Access Point is placed just in front of my window. I can term this service as "Worst Broadband Service". All the sales guy are gone in vein after the installation.Best of Luck!:frown:

hi frnds,

Is it available in Chennai too...................

yes, and for some time now... but i heard that its crappy in chennai..

Hey Guys, Don't fall in trap of TIKONA Sales Team. TIKONA services are pathetic. They really sucks their customers. I simply wasted my valuable 800/-(installation + circuit breaker secutity) for using (read trying) TIKONA services. Their customer care is simply waste and a bunch of foolish fellows. Their network is a complete failure. Don't waste your money and peace of mind, so please try to get away from TIKONA.

I agree to Himanshu, this is useless service, just false promises. Do not ever take this connections. They installed a receiver in our building and told us that the connection is well above 2 mbps. I used it for a month, but my frustration level only increased. I finally decided to say goodbye to it. Do not ever use it.
