stop complaining about the crappy isp and focus on getting the most out of what you are stuck with. there are enough workarounds for anything spectra throws at you. since you are stuck with it, just focus on getting the most bang for your buck...![]()
If your seedbox has a rerouting tool try that. i used to kinda get shiity speeds at time and i still get crappy speeds on filezilla(downloading single file and uploading in general)well guess what, spectranet is definitely the worst ISP in this country right now!
i used a seedbox for trial purposes and then tried to download that file to my PC via a FTP client (Filezilla). To my shock, i was downloading the file at only 15-20 kbps speeds. i changed ISP to hathway to test & guess what - full speed of the connection.
these MFers are even throttling FTP speeds! its not just limited to torrents. how can they do this and get away with it?
guys, never take a connection from spectra shit.
ranting helps man. i used to rant all the time. i moved that bit to social media few years ago.now i am bored and tired. things are not going to magically fix. big state is here and all we can do is look for ways around to get the job done!
i learnt a lot of things dealing with the shit these companies have been throwing around. would have never considered or bothered to get a VPN or switch to encrypted dns. now it is basically part of online life. i suggest more and more people to make their online communication secure and encrypted so that isps cannot play around with it.
ok so i am facing another issue here - i randomly get pathetic speeds when i download from the seedbox to my PC. i did a traceroute & to my surprise, i found that all my traffic gets routed via telstra! this is happening with every site & not just the seedbox.
here is a tracert to example.org:

i am sure i can't even complain about this & it could very well be the reason for slow downloads to my pc which happen when telstra might be congested.
