TP-Link Archer C6 PPOE issue with BSNL FTTH

I have just received the much awaited C6 from Amazon.
But it got a wired issue.
I have set the dumb ONT into transparent bridge mode and router usually work great after setting up my BSNL FTTH profile.

But,as soon as their is a LOS,the C6 won't initiate auto-connect.I have to go to the management page and click on connect.
It seems that I am missing something.Can I hope to get some help as it has got very frustrating since signal drop is common at my place,albeit for 2 minutes every 5 hours.

How is the router coverage wise,i m thinking to use it with jio fiber.

Don't think so, I read a TP-Link forum post which said it's just targetted for different sales channels but underneath it's all the same, with some tiny differences.

OpenWRT support was added for A6 with very minor changes as compared to C6.

IMO,A6 is just C6 but it TP-Link just wanted remove confusion.Thus,it made A6 which can be sold in USA {check FCC certification is available for A6}
C6 has only CE certification which ITU ratified.
Thus,just to clear confusion,TP-Link made A6 to sell in USA.
Latest C6 version omit getting FCC certification for the same reason.

They sets up connection in few seconds but C6 won't connect even after manual intervention for hours. It's getting frustrating.

Yes, I too experienced this problem with TP-Link Archer C1200. I thought this was an old firmware issue. Still seeing this issue on Newer models is bad.

You can try OpenWrt as said by @varkey. Looks like C6 needs TFTP install.

Without the following option you can't connect on some TP-Link model.
eg. Archer C9 v5, Archer AX50 (AX3000)
Type in you vlan ID
for voice and iptv put whatever you like as it won't be use in tplink router

@abbyck any success in flashing OpenWRT in TP-Link Archer C1200? Cause i thought it'd be better than this stock firmware and yeah, it's v2 (EU) btw

Ok,so the issue was with the router....
Just for clarification,VLAN tagging is needed for BSNL to connect.
I had tried everything but the router refused to tag the packets with mentioned VLAN.
So,I had to set VLAN tag from my ONT which reset after each restart.
Got replacement,it is working like charm....
