Trying to use MNP to shift from Airtel to Vodafone

haha. i am not even that interested in it. the apc guy who landed at my place had a vodafone connection and even he had trouble making a call from my mmm cubicle. so i guess i would be happy if the request does not go through. on airtel at least i get 3G on my Edge package (sometimes!).

what speeds do you get on 3g ??

most of the times? connectivity is worse than that on edge. but sometimes i get more than 1mbps.

I too want to have a 3g connection but at my place only bsnl 3g & reliance 3g are available (both are crap), so waiting for vodafone to start 3g service(will be using idea 3g network) at my place......I'm bit scared from airtel coz of their strange policy and plans.......lets see!!

Its over 4-5 days now (including this weekend) since I applied for MNP from reliance to vodafone..Not even a single sms or call from either vodafone or reliance... is this normal? or should I contact vodafone ??I should have got atleast some kind of sms from any of the service provider involved.. isn't it??

sunday now. almost like 10 days. no sms from any of the two operators. if it does not get through tomm, i guess i would have to assume that it did not suceed.

i applied from a retailer on 23rd aug. from vodafone to ideai got sms fron VF that they have received the request and will validate in 96 hours on 26th Aug. (I dont know its business hours or actual hours).Lets see when its finally done !This will be my third porting of same number !
