@Chip yeah exactly. In my Frank opinion 1Gbps with 5TB+ FUP should be max 1999₹. Also here I again wanna mention our good friend Nepal where 1Gbps costs around 2300₹ INR with tax. Even though they have to buy transit from Airtel/
Tata which they charge 5$ per Mbps. They have over 1Tbps link to these telcos and when I did all the revenue calculation I just got

. Yet still they have such great rates. They get IPTV with 4K setup box with no locking... Like you don't need to have DTH or something active to even use their setup box just like Airtel. They have everything free included in the charge. They provide Wifi 6
routers &
Mesh system directly by ISP with installation and professional setup by themselves. I wish we too had those options. Even though their tax and everything on equipment is way way higher. Above 60%. Except few small ISP's their international bandwidth is same and strangely the ping to Mumbai and Singapore is same. My friends shared results from different ISP's and I was confused

. Also they're upgrading their network to XGS-PON (10 Gbps). To provide multi gig speeds to residential users. I'm going there by the end of this year or next year so I'm gonna test the hell out of those ISP's

. But yeah I wish Jio does it here as well. 500 Mbps for 1299₹ & 1 Gbps for 1999₹

. Another thing is their ISP's have FUP tier. Like if 75 Mbps plan has 2.1 TB fup then 1 Gbps user has 10x the more. Which is great. Jio has 3.3 TB for 30 Mbps or 1000 Mbps

. Also their base plan from top ISP's starts from 200 Mbps just like Excitel. Which costs around 800₹ INR. Which I feel is similar to ISP's here but still higher end plans are just

. I will be testing their multi gig plan next year. Because the top 2 ISP's there announced that they'll complete the XGS-PON upgrade process by 2022 end and launch new plans. I guess max they'll charge is 4000₹ INR including tax for 2.5 Gig plan

. I hope ambani also brings 2 Gbps for 3999₹

.
