User Review: Samsung Galaxy S II

I just want root access to my S2, I dont want to use other ROM right now. Is it possible? If yes then how? I just want to disable some boot apps,enable avast firewall and install good backup software(which as I know require root access)

@Jaymin: As you own S2 and I guess its rooted, so I need your kind advise specially about the pros/cons of rooting.

No its a zip file named Spike.Pure.ICS-v7.6.zip, I think it need to be flashed from phone memory, not from odin!

Gee. What exactly do you mean by pure ICS ? Cyanogenmod or Samsung stock ? Also, is your phone on ics right now ?

@jaymin Flashed with ROM suggested by you, but getting yellow triangle on boot. any solution? And how to apply wifi patch? And how come all my programs and settings are intact except some look change?Update---Ok Everything is fine except that yellow triangle.
