using xz7000-g7 on excitel

I recently purchased the TP-Link XZ7000-G7 version 1.8 and attempted to use it with my Excitel connection. However, I've come across two peculiar issues:

1. The web interface reports the hardware v1.0, even though the label on the back of the device and packing box clearly states it's v1.8.
2. When I connect the fiber, the PON mode automatically switches from GPON to EPON. To return to the GPON configuration screen and input the original ONU's serial number, I have to perform a hard reset.

It appears that the configurations are being overwritten as soon as I connect the fiber. I suspect this may be a firmware bug, but I couldn't find any relevant updates on their website.

Can anyone else confirm this behavior? I hope it doesn't become a dead weight.

yes, its ONT issue, TP-Link's ONT is not EPON campatible 100%.

Okay in your locality, provider must be on EPON. In connection is on GPON. Was there any luck talking to local guy with bridging their router.

Router bridging is easy, just mac spoofing.

@tr1k0N4 Put Excitel's ONT in bridge mode and then dial PPPoE from your personal router/firewall. Dont forget to assign WAN MAC of excitel's router to your PPPoE interface of personal router.
