I think a reliable solution would be to have repeaters on each floor (or more than one per floor depending on coverage) and the connectivity between the repeaters will be wired, thinking of how Hotels do it these days...

Connectivity between repeaters should be wired.^This..

I also want to extend my router's range so I want to know that firstly how do I set up a repeater/extender? Are repeater and extender the same thing?

Range extender and repeater are the same afaik. Is the extra area you want to cover very large and will running a cat5 upto the second access point be possible?

Point A is the wifi, point B is the position for my PS3.
There is a wall about 3 feet long and 1 foot wide in front of the router.
Distance between A & B is approx 35 feet. Also Point B is behind a 1 foot thick wall.

If I go for cabling it'll have to be done by taking it up to the roof from A nad bringing it down to B. I don't wanna do it as point A doesn't have any window near and I don't want to make a hole in my wall.

This is my situation.

Alright, and is the PS3 area a WiFi dead zone? And, I'm confused about the three foot wall.Any other points on that floor that have telephone jacks where the modem can be connected?

Okay based on your situation and from the requirements you mentioned, you are looking for something with less wiring and good range and price point around 10k! Well from what I searched on Flipkart the Only Wireless Modem cum Router from Asus with 3-Antennae is https://www.flipkart.com/asus-dsl-n55u-wireless-n600-gigabit-router/p/itmda5pjznegqzzu?pid=RTRDA4U7UE3Z7UMB&ref=3f686237-425c-4c51-a1ef-c77c53cf9d29

The ONLY major problem being it is nearer to 11 grand on the site, but will serve the INTENDED Purpose being a single unit/gadget with good range. Please ask if any of your local dealers have the model at a lesser price and also if anyone have the router and their opinions/experience with it. Kindly note this is Dual Band N300x2 simultaneous dual band and it is a modem router with RJ-11 port and RJ-45 ports. 2 USB ports.

So mention that or else they might give an N300 Router without modem with same model number i.e. 55U. Kindly note that N600, etc refers to Data transfer within the network, NOT INTERNET SPEED so don't confuse the two. According to video review and specs on the box it is 300x2 on the simultaneous dual-band hence they claim as N600 :|

Are you sure it's 35 feet and not meters since you said 4 storey?! Or else if you want budget you will have to take the other route and spend on two gadgets and include wiring and drilling of holes, etc. Well you can try mounting this modem router on the outer edge of the 3-foot wall so that there is only ONE 1-foot wall blockage that the signal has to pass through, since more the decrease in signal strength, more the transfer speeds will drop.

Just my suggestion that I can think of and what is available for now. Either this or one of the Netgear Routers which may come cheaper, but will be a hit and miss given the factors mentioned. Hope it helps. Video Review and description for basic idea of its range, almost overkill so to speak ;) and also those who wanted to know what access point or repeater is at(delete the space between http and s: http s://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGAMZQvnhxo

The PS3 area has extremely less signal strength. That makes it disconnect frequently or gives me bad pings. The 3footer is actually the wall of an alcove where my PC is kept, hence my modem/router is placed there. There is no other point except one in the PS3 room, if I do it there I'll have to get cabling done back till the PC at point A. Basically I can place a modem/router at the opposite ends of my house.

I'm not the OP. My problem is a bit different than his. Also yes its 35feet approximately.
I just bought a router last year, not wanting to discard it easily. I bought the D-Link DSL 2750U model.

In such a case, I'd have suggested that you buy a better router, but, since that isnt possible. Get this - https://www.flipkart.com/Netgear-wn3000rp-universal-wi-fi-range-extender/p/itmd6ffb7xwg49mvIs a little costly, and might be overkill. If you're looking for something cheaper, do let me know. And, connect the D-Link modem in the ps3 room, that'll ensure best possible latency.
