Vodafone 3G Pay as you go Plan

Yes , you are absolutely correct. I also wanna see the man who comes up with these ridiculous plans. And yes bsnl may have slow speed but they have quite good plans than others in market..And i suppose idea has also introduced grate plans..I thnk at the end vodafone wont be able to collect the money of their spectrum licence if they continue doing these type of stupidity..Infact i seen vodafone getting worse day by day.. I applied for support in their enquiry befor 3/4 days but still havent got call or anythng..I doubt that in future vodafone wont remain as reputated/best mobile connection in futuren market..

Since MTNL has started aggressive promotion of their 3G services and excellent pricing, I don't know for how long the idiots like Voda or Airtel will survive with their rip-off pricing in Mumbai market. :)

I specifically asked them about this and they said that you will be charged 10p/10KB post the data limit until the expiration of you validity. That is also what they advertise on their website that any addition usage will be charged at 10p/10KB. I really wonder who comes up with all these ridiculous plans at Vodafone. They definitely deserve an award for stupidity.

I think BSNL is way better in this regard. The validity of my data pack on my BSNL 3G SIM expired last week, but I can still use 3G data at the pay as you go rate as long as my SIM is still active.

The price shown on the web post the data limit is 10p/10kb,but I received a mail which directed me to a link where the prices are 2p/10kb,here is the link Vodafone

Atlast I Got A Call From Vodafone They Said There Is No PayPerGo Plan At The Moment .. They Got Many Complaints Regarding This And They Are looking Forward Into This Matter..

See This : Charges applicable @ 2p/10KB after bundled data is consumed

Either these C.C guys don't know a s**t or they are taking the public for a ride, till date was using the 299 plan(GPRS) decided to change to 3g 100Mb plan.Called up Vodafone C.C told him I would like to discontinue with GPRS plan and activate the 3g plan,so this was his response"sir for the 3g plan to be activated you need to have the GPRS plan as well, till 100mb you will get 3g speed after that the speed will be back to normal",so in essence he was telling me to pay for both the plans :anger3:,must have argued with him for a while and then disconnected.

^GPRS must for 3G :worthy:!! The CC guy u were talking to must have had taken a batli more last night... poor chap !:Bar:

at least in mumbai they r not converting you back on 3g. they keep 3g and 2g on. you have to choose dual mode or UTMS or GSM on your phone if you recharge 2g OR 3g gprs plans.

they take purposly 60 hours to activate and deduct money from main account @ 3g rates.
lost more than 100 ruppes

Hey, I didn't got this 3G/2G Logic . What I understand is that once 3G is activated on any operator, there is no turn back. But if you want to use some 60, 98 etc Data Scheme of 2G , you can activate it. Only difference will happen is they will cap your data speed at 256Kbps.

3G is a combination of lot many things. Its not only Internet, but Videocall and Mobile TV too. For Videocall operator will provide full bandwidth eventhough you have activated some 2G data plan. Along with that for Mobile TV they are providing bandwidth of something around 512Kbps-1 Mbps(don't remember exactly).

you pay 100(or whatever in your circle) and buy the minimum pack to start the 3G services in VodafoneOther operators by default start 3G services by default FREEAfter 3G activation if you wish to use a 2G data plan then you have to select the GSM mode (Not the UTMS or DUal mode) in your mobile. If you forget you will be charged 10p/10KB or if you are little lucky 2p/10KB if they have implemented that properly.

Network Mode Selection is Handset feature. So, If my 3G Data Pack is active (e.g Rs 100 for 100 MB), then if I use that bundled data in UMTS , it may be consumed fast bcoz speed will be high, but if i change it to GSM Mode, only spped will be reduced but it won't effect the charges. So, what i feel is, changing Handset Mode will only make ease to control on the usage, but it has nothing to do with pricing and services which are actually active on the MSISDN Number.
