Vodafone India: Set up internet / GPRS on iphone - it worked

I m from Delhi and activated Vodafone Rs. 26 pack valid for 1 week.On vodafone website it is mentioned that this a VMC pack.My phone is locked (don't know to which carrier) but I got it unlocked using gevey sim.I have tried 1. configuring apn to www2. Used unlockit website but it didn't worked for me.3. Tried the iPhone config tool. It also didn't worked for me.I also tried APN as portalnmms
 
I haven't heard of a VMC plan for Rs 26. Have you checked with CC to confirm that www is the APN for the data pack you have activated?Either of the options, iPhone Configuration Utility or Unlockit, will work for setting up your APN for data services as long as you are using the correct APN.

I have not confirmed the APN from CC but i surfed the net and everywhere it was written www so used it.
 
So which 3G plan do you use now and how has the overall experience with that been as compared to the previous 2G Unlimited?

The 2G data plans are listed under the Vodafone Mobile Connect section on their website. I don't think they have an iPhone page on the website anymore. So I'm not sure where those plans are listed on the website. But the website does say that all plans are applicable for iPhone as well. I got the list from the Vodafone store.

I'm in Hyderabad. I was on the Unlimited data @ 599 plan before I switched to 3G. That plan worked well for me as my monthly usage was around 3-4 GB.

Easiest way to activate any of the plans is to call customer care or visit a Vodafone store. Ask them about the VMC/iPhone data plans. Pick one that suits you and ask them to activate it.

I'm using the MI650 3G data pack. Experience has been ok, I guess. Speeds & connectivity fluctuates a lot. This is the first month of using Vodafone 3G since official launch here.

I think you just need to get an iPhone data plan activated and resolve your issue.

i have 199rs 3 gb plan, i have iPhone 4, i was used this trick from last 2 month( apn portalmms) , but today i edit setting and enter replace portalmms to www. omg now iphone gprs work great , all application run like skype, whatsapp. these apps was cant run on portalmms but now apn www all online apps r run great. so u guys plz replace apn to www. wow wow
