Do you reckon then this plan would work well assuming i need to make a few phone calls as well as some data on 3g. I am a prepaid user. Right now am just using it over wifi. This is the 3g plan plus my city of origin is mumbaiMobile Internet 502 Rupees500 MB + 500 (Local + STD) Mins + 500 (Local & National) SMS 30 day validity

Selecting a plan is purely based in your usage. Different plans work for different people as everyone uses their device differently. If your average monthly calls, SMS & data usage falls within what the plan offers then go for it. The data limit in the plan is what I would place importance on as that is the most expensive component in our country.

Did vodafone activate 3G automatically for all users ?I only had Edge data service but when I restored my iPhone the 3G logo came up so I tried to check if data was active and opened apple.com it was working. That single webpage consumed about 560 kb and Rs 5 was charged (damn thats expensive).I never bought any 3G pack before, guess vodafone just activated the service.Sent SMS as CAN 3G to 144 and received reply that cancellation of 3G service request raised but still no update after 2 days.3G still active.

To get 3g or the internet working on Samsung S2 what are the settings for vodaphone ?

You would need to have a 3G pack activated on your connection. Then setup the APN on your device. The APN should be www and leave the username and password fields blank. You should be good to go.

Your question has already been answered.

Have cross checked between Airtel & Vodafone for 2G Data/ Edge on iPhone.

Airtel proves to be a Winner in every aspect whether its Settings or Speed.

@VodafoneIndia: If you are reading this, better do something. Before users like me start to think of porting out.
