vodafone tested their website? if this is their testing standards, they are putting
microsoft to shame.
Dude, few things to be remembered:
This is a migration from Hutch to Vodafone. Not a newly built
business from scratch. Hutch's website sucked (their branding was excellent) and Vodafone is incorporating it upon completion of their migration.
Here it is not just testing a website and crying about why it's not working. Its about taking over a huge database of millions of customers and branding them as Vodafone accounts.
The point which I have been trying to make since long is:
Why is everything being judged from the website point of view?
If you have bought Vista despite it having problems, hats off to you. By the way, Microsoft spends billions on R & D. Yet their products are consistent with bugs. And they run their business with countless patches.
I am just giving Microsoft's example, so they don't have to be put to shame. Hotmail was bad too, till Gmail's arrival made them improve gradually.
I hope you are getting my point. Give Vodafone time dude. Billions of dollars expenditure does not mean everything works the way you want on the 1st day itself. They are probably making things work better, while trying to improvise the website which was not too well managed by Hutch.
Another example: Hutchison Whampoa's 3 Network in the UK was launched as a 3G Network. It was a miserable failure, despite spending billions and being innovative in their approach.
Today it's fairly successful.
