Want an Android phone in Rs. 10-12K range

Friend lost his Galaxy S. So, needs something that is better than this model. Not interested in Karbonn or Micromax. HTC, Sony, Samsung would be fine. Comparison is with Galaxy S (first generation) so basically a budget model would do fine.---Another option is a second hand phone in good shape. Location is in Pune. Need a deal asap. So, if anyone from Pune on this forum wants to sell an Android device, he would be interested in listening to your offer.

Man..thats too generous...Unlocking is not a problem for me BTW!!

You can get Samsung Galaxy Nexus 32GB CDMA for around 15 - 16k. Imported CDMA smartphones are generally cheaper.
There aren't many CDMA providers in our circle are they ??

If you can confirm that it can be unlocked then its a pretty awesome deal at 6.5k.just make sure once because I think i read somewhere that some virgin mobile phones cannot be unlocked for indian cdma operators. Not sure though.

Well, I have seen many people in Mumbai and nearby areas praising CDMA networks, and even seen many people carrying CDMA dumbphones alongwith their regular GSM mobiles. I don't think they are bad. I too have a Palm Pixi Plus on Reliance CDMA and the network quality is very good.

i never had any issues with my tata indicom connection. though cannot say about data services.

Ok...Could someone provide me some good deals for CDMA(GSM considered as well) phones...As my budget is around 10-12K....Wouldn't mind unlocking it by myself...Found some intel who can unlock a CDMA phone..I can unlock GSM phones..But turns out CDMA is kinda tricky!!
