Weird issue with Internet

Hi friends, i am facing a wierd issue with Internet in Win XP SP3.

I can browse the internet properly. But i cant update my NAV, i am not able to use a VOIP Software named VOIP Stunt. Neither is torrents working.

I am not able to makeout whats wrong......browsing is ok, but the apps arent connecting to the net!

I have Comodo Firewall, which is already off, and Windows firewall too is off.....

Reboot in Safe Mode with Networking.

Yeah looks like thats the option.....but how to go to Safe Mode, when i have Grub menu running?

weird indeed.. you sure Comodo is not loaded in the system tray?

Yes sure. Coz i had removed it from Startup. And to add to it, i even checked the Task manager........it doesnt show any such task active.

I have faced such issues with Comodo, that's the reason I never gave it a shot again.Try pressing F8 real fast when your PC is rebooting.I am not sure whether or not it's going to work Searching......

Ok, checking it up now.......and will post my "Findings" later on!

Simply boot and Select Windows and hold F8 key as Windows load and a menu will appear.

Select Safe Mode with Networking support.
