Weird issue with Internet

Hi friends, i am facing a wierd issue with Internet in Win XP SP3.

I can browse the internet properly. But i cant update my NAV, i am not able to use a VOIP Software named VOIP Stunt. Neither is torrents working.

I am not able to makeout whats wrong......browsing is ok, but the apps arent connecting to the net!

I dont need to worry much now. I will be using a restricted Windoze from now on, as Admin suggested. I think thats the best way to go about it, when i want to use it for 3 things only - VOIP, "Vasooling" the spending on NAV, Backing up phone data.

Half of the system tools werent working mate!! Search had died out, System Restore had died out, Taskbar had lost its memory. I used to remind it always that it needs to be there on my desktop. Even when it appeared, it still didnt show the notification icons & the open windows in it.
