Weird issue with Internet

Hi friends, i am facing a wierd issue with Internet in Win XP SP3.

I can browse the internet properly. But i cant update my NAV, i am not able to use a VOIP Software named VOIP Stunt. Neither is torrents working.

I am not able to makeout whats wrong......browsing is ok, but the apps arent connecting to the net!

Mine Issue Resolved. I guess it was temporary Issue. May be nearest cell site would be down yesterday

I said i wud switch to Windows Today or tomorrow.....i dont know what is it ryt now, coz am in Mint. But yeah, yesterday upto night it wasnt working.

There appears to be some serious issue in Windoze now.

The search tool isnt working.
When Windoze starts up, even the taskbar doesnt appear. I have to go to Control panel >> Taskbar & Start Menu settings & change a few settings, to remind it that Taskbar is meant to appear on my desktop.
Even after that, the notification area doesnt show the active applications, even though there are few such tasks running.

Taskbar doesnt even show minimised Windows or active windows.

And as before the apps cant connect to the internet, except for my browser.

I suspect it might be a virus.......what do u people reckon??

yep.. Virus it is...I believe your Taskmanger is gone (u can't open it ??) and also you can no more login as a admin user...I had a Virus which did this my OS...

I can see task Manager. But i cant see the Task bar when the Windows loads. I have to use this indirect way to see the Task bar.
