Which is better, a dsl modem with in built wifi or a basic dsl modem paired with a standalone wifi router? I am currently using a basic modem provided by BSNL which is on rent and I am planning on handing it back and buying a new modem, so please help me on this matter.
It is better you go for a adsl2+(this specification is important otherwise it wont work) with built in wifi. The response time and packet exchange will be much faster. If your coverage is insufficient, you can always use a repeater. and if you want to focus the wifi signals in one direction and make it more powerful, just take a curved cardboard, cover it with aluminium foil and focus it.
