Doh, stopped working a little after I made the previous post.
 
@vishalrao What is it? Firmware update blocked 6Ghz band?
If your phone has 160mhz channel width support on 5Ghz, then also you will reap all benefits of 6E at better range. In short, there is actually no need for 6Ghz band.
 
6E wasn't working since I bought the phone few months ago but 6E started working when I checked few days after the 5g update but a few hours later it again stopped.
 
I don't think mbp unless latest m2 nor 4th gen ipad really have 6ghz wifi 6e?

Anyways in my case my newish laptop is able to connect to my TP-Link xe75 in win11 and latest linux kernels with its mediatek mt7921 based chip but my pixel 7 pro doesn't...

BTW the 6ghz band is still not delicensed as far as I know.
