I am trying to setup wifi network at my residence using Netgear router . we have a local area network in the campus through a leased line . router recognises the ip addresses correctly but when it clicked to nex it stops saying no internet connection available . Whereas internet connections works properly when i am using it on my laptop through ethernet cord. Can any one help me in setting up the wifi network on my local area network internet connection A K Sahan

IF you want to use WIFI mode in your house , the distance matters. Can you take the RJ45 cable to your house for use with the laptop ?Assuming your laptop has a Wireless Lan card, a WIFI router has to be connected to on of the lan ports ,or the RJ45 from modem is connected to the Wifi router . How many computers are being used in the Network ?Mention the Netgear router model you have. Who is the ISP ? Not listed here ?One wireless router in the network all can go WIFI ! ( Signal radius approx 30 to 50 feet subject to no obstructions etc.) Wifi router at a higher height .
