On August 25th, I submitted a relocation request for my JioFiber broadband connection. The new address was approved by Jio after their automatic backend checks.
I moved to my new address on August 27th, but despite Jio's initial approval based on the relocation procedure in the MyJio app, I was unable to get the relocation service. I had also recharged my JioFiber account on August 21st, expecting a smooth relocation and so my recharge money was wasted.

The technicians assigned to install the connection at my address said there is no space in the ‘cassette box’ and they falsely reported "Address verification failure" after that.

I was left without a broadband connection for over two weeks all the while I was trying to reach Jio to get them to give me the service.

In the last resort, I contacted this local Jio technician who had installed multiple connections in my old address. He arrived and said that a new box installation will take an additional 15 days. However, upon checking the existing multiple boxes outside the building (on electrical poles) he said that he can install a new connection. I didn’t quite understand the entire process but it was something along the lines of him finding an empty port and registering in some other box. I am not sure.
So, a new connection was established using my mother’s number but I was left without any support for my old connection, which was still active at this point.

Now, I just wanted the refund for my last recharge as Jio was unable to deliver the relocation service they promised. So, I believe I am entitled to some kind of compensation for the unused recharge amount.

I tried contacting Jio representatives via call, email, and customer-service chat many times to get the refund but they simply say that it's not in their policy or they give a scripted/template reply.

So, I submitted a Grievance in National Consumer Helpline portal on the 25th of September. There are some remarks from Jio which do not sound favourable to me. Here is the screenshot :

At this point, I just want to know if there is any point in pursuing this or am I just wasting my energy. The recharge amount was just INR 1178 but the thing which makes me furious is that how can they get away with promising a service and then not delivering it, wasting the customers money.

Any help is appreciated!

jio doesnt take complains on NCH seriously try complaining on CPGRAMS-Home
speaking from personal experience I complained on both NCH and this and the response is better on pgportal
create a ac on CPGRAMS-Home lodge under dept of telecommunication rest a/c to needs proceed ahead
@el3mentry
And also drop a mail to [email protected]
and if by chance jio closes the complain file a appeal [ on the same portal you will get the option once they close the complain}

thank you @anmolbhard004 , after months of waiting & patience and a second complaint on pgportal.gov.in (first one was closed without providing resolution and it had a GOOD remark so no appeal was possible), I finally received the full refund of the recharge amount today. Nice to see that a complaint can work even it is the biggest of companies.

I would be moving to new address after few months.
Now I am thinking better not to recharge JioFiber and take new connection either from Jio or other provider whichever is readily available after I move :D

i think in my case, what helped was reaching out directly to the technician who installed connection previously at my old address.

instead of being reliant on the backend system of Jio, which as of now, is just not operating as intended, call the technician and he will check if a new connection is possible or not.

and yes just use mobile data for a week and in the meantime, apply for the new connection.
