Arey bhai, my primary router costed this much few years ago... Should I just go for a more capable primary router?
I do not really need a compact solution. I do not even need 300mbps. I just need something that can boost the signal and provide close to my internet speeds. Have no requirement of LAN data transfer. This is purely for internet connectivity improvements.

For build 19484, be aware of the issue that VLAN is turned on automatically by default, which makes clients unable to communicate with each other on the LAN ports.

This explains a lot of things that has baffled me over the years. I had no fucking idea.

Your router is quite capable already. I don't think spending more on getting a better router would help much. Wireless range extender would be a better bet I think. There are some cheaper TP-Link ones available on Flipkart which are 150Mbps ones.
Let's also see what others here have to say.

Right. Reviews of that D-Link unit looks alright. Would wait for a few hours for other suggestions.
