Wireless Router Suggestions Required

Thanks a lot for the info. Currently I am using ADSL2+router STARCOM rented form BSNL. I heard that BSNL doesnt give choice to choose the modem, when I upgrade to Wifi router. So I thought of purchasing and configuring it on my own.

Any idea about the brand/model BSNL gives ?

Check in MERCYS(electronic shop). NetgearWGR614v9 may be available for1000/= approx. With bill and guarantee card. 1 year. ( wifi range say radius about 10 to 30 feet )
If WIFI range is more ( SAY above radius 30 feet higher heights ) buy a higher priced WIFI Router Buffalo model. ( check the Power output and and multiple antennae)
In ebay.in check only wifi routers. available for900 onwards.

If you ask for a wifi router ( usually Adslmodem+4lanport+wifi router) rent will be80/= P.M and you have to return the adsl modem

hi all,
i ampurchasing new router,my current type 4 is 4 yrs old and not working ethernet ports,it just keeps flashing on ethernet port.

i feel its age is almost over,time to get new one.

i found one Asus rt n16 u router with 4 gigabit ethernet ports and 2 usb ports and wifi n.
its costing 90 usd approx.
how is asus support?
which one has best support on bsnl?

Dear all kind guys,I called the Reliance guy yesterday to check if there is Reliance service available in my area or not, then he called me back today.He asked me my address to come to explain me all the plans but I'm not comfortable to meet him today so we have made an appointment to meet tomorrow. I think the Customer Care is not mostly bad as you can see about their respondence. I want to have WiFi Router to connect to my devices which are 3 laptops and 3 mobile phones so my questions are these:1. What is the name or brand of the best WiFi Router should I buy and not too costly? 2. Shall I go for a Normal WiFi Router or an ADSL WiFi Router?3. If my WiFi Router is signaled, then can my next-doors or another people freely use or share my WiFi? Or my WiFi is protected by user-name and password along with IP address?4. How can I use WiFi through my SAMSUNG Galaxy S which is running by Android System? Do I have to set it up, and how can I do? Please educate me.We are using the WiFi signal for calling by Skype, use for watching online media stuffs such as youtube and another movie online, use for surfing usual www such as Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail ect. wats ur budget?? m currently using a D-Link dir-615 flashed with DD-WRT( only wifi). (sterlite sam300ax adsl modem seperately). the dlink default firmware sucks but with dd-wrt its rock solid.

Just connect to your wifi network (I am assuming Galaxy S has WiFi)
We are using the WiFi signal for calling by Skype, use for watching online media stuffs such as youtube and another movie online, use for surfing usual www such as Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail ect.
Shouldnt be a problem

1. not sure.. members will help.. i personally use an adsl wifi router from Nokia siemens... bang for the buck..2. wifi router will do.. take up adsl wifi router if u r planning to use an adsl isp later on...3. for best protection method use mac filtering along with std. encryption schemes.. mac filtering will protect your wifi from any other intruders.4. no idea.
