Why do I get the feeling u got screwed here... This model seems like a stock mtnl modem... These kind of modems are available on eBay in the 500-800 range depending on their condition... Anyway it's my personal belief that it's better to rent the crappy mtnl modem rather than buying it... I think the rent for mtnl's wifi modem is rs 50/mo ... If u paid 1250 for this modem it feels like u paid 25 months of advance rent on it modem without the garantee that it will work for 12 months...

I bought this router as standby wifi router just in case something goes wrong with my mtnl adsl wifi router. Well, this was the cheapest wifi adsl router available hence i bought it. After delivery I did notice that router was not as described (was described as new but was not new) however it is working fine so i am okay with it. :001_rolleyes:

suggest me a router which is only wifi need not be coupled with the dsl modem...
i mean directly rj45 into the router

You mean the telephone wire direct into the router ie is RJ 11 cable !

Budget?
Usage?
Area to be covered ?

Regards

:Boy Think:
What he meant was he doesn't want an ADSL wifi router but only a WiFi router.
His question is different from vatu's who started the thread.
He wants to plug the RJ45 coming from the modem into the router implying that he will be using a modem separately.
Hope u understand it now.:glasses-cool:

Hi,My bad I confused him with the thread starter, Rest of the answers he needs to provide so that we can help him better.:smartass::silly:I think @jamie I helped you with your wireless query isn't it, If yes do let me know what have you purchased as wireless equipment.Regards

no no...m really sorry...i meant the rj11 cable...i am already using the D-Link modem with a Linksys wrt54g...but lately the dsl modem is getting hung again and agian and mtnl is out of stock to supply me a new modem...so i thought i'd rather buy a new one for me...i have already given my application for a new modem 3 months agorange wise the wrt54g supplies a good signal at my place....usage is gng to be at home only i have the dsl749 plani dont want to spend more than 2.5k...and also if i want a bigger range i can always use the linksys one to extend it...
