They are rated for 100m but usually it can go further.
Switches can be powered by cheap PoE adapters where 4 wires are used for power and rest 4 for 10/100 internet.

They can also put a network switch at the balcony. It might be enough to get enough signal.

@harsha_8re What speed are you paying for?

@JB700
I am paying for 40mbps.But due to long length I am getting only 3 - 9 Mbps.But connection is stable when lan speed is set to 10 Mbps.But connection is erratic when connected to wifi router.It will get disconnected every 10 seconds or so.Sometimes connection will be stable for about 1 hour.So finally got rid of act and opted for I-on broadband.As my house is located in outskirts it is being served by only two isp's.Asked airtel guys.They said they will give me connection by next January.

I'm not sure why they are not installing a PoE box on top of your building and providing the connection?
Are you resisting that? try addressing to nodal officer of ACT and demand a PoE box is setup on ur building.

Recently I got an ACT internet. They installed a new PoE as the neighbor refused for any further installation on their PoE

there are way too many negative threads on act broadband, its new company and offering cheapest plans in India with speeds of high as 200mbps for under 800 per month, i had issues in past with them but most of the time issue was simple wire fault, or just some server r issue at their end,

best way to get their attention is put disconnection request, if they are not helping or better just speak politely to their customer care team and hope for the best that someone qualified takes up the phone and forwards the query to right department !

their fake GB is still major issue though, i did't use net much this month and i got message yesterday that 1000gb finished,
PS: better to have contact with local area boys to get assistance from them incase connector faults, i had major problem with them in first 6 months because of this, but person in the area was fast to rectify the issue most of the time.

and 2nd option is airtel, they are doing decent plans too thanks to jio, act etc. but still too expensive for people who just wanna use net !

I asked them to install junction box in my house but they said all fiber nodes are full and for any new box installation.They said they need to lay new cable for new box installation and it may take time.I even threatened them with disconnection.But they are not responding.Now i will ask them to setup a unmanaged network switch in between.

I have been using act fibernet for the past 3 years.Every month i would face around 48 hours of downtime and i am ok with it.But recently from the past one month i cannot connect my router and it is showing as wan port unplugged randomly.Finally technician came and told me that router was damaged.But later i found out that router was working but the problem is with Act fibernet.They connected me using over 135 metres of cat 5e cable and due to long length of cable i was facing issues.So i called them and told that cable is so long and asked them me to connect to another junction box.But they said that all connections were full and cannot connect me to nearest box.I am getting around 2 mbps of download speed and 40mbps of upload speed.Asked them details about gx box but it is costs around 2500 and i have to pay that amount without any issues from my side.Any solutions regarding with this issue?
mostly there is damage in the fiber to the box.
cable length does not count when you are getting upload speed you should get download speed also.
i faced the same issue one or two times but after 4-5hours it became alright on its own.
