@indianarchie yeah, got the MI3. my work needs require a dual sim phone, which note is and MI3 isn't.

i hate to carry two phones ( in fact any phone ) with me.

Good news is Lollipop is on the way for Mi3

Thing is Redmi Note is a 5.5" device at a lesser price & lower specs & MI 4 will be costlier. Hence not sure, why not continue this phone as well.
