@partymonger Just cause I was curious and wanted to see how it works.
I was using the Netlink in bridge mode and not using WiFi or any other features. So just wanted a basic ONT.
Netlink was bulky in size (the antennas couldn't be removed and was irritating me )
The Huawei works as a pure bridge, plug in the fiber and connect to your router, no other config is necessary on the ONT (unless any OLT authentication related parameters needs to be tweaked)
The Huawei uses 50% less electricity (2w against 4w ) increases my battery backup time.

hahaha Was there any difference speed or performance wise? Im thinking of getting the cheapest one without wifi since i already have an r7000 with custom firmware.
Not that I could determine, I'm only on a 50 Mbps plan. Although due to some misconfig on BSNL's side, I get 200 Mbps or so over IPv6. The HuaweiONT worked fine.
Yep, in that case, I would suggest going for a basic ONT like the Huawei. It's a pure bridge. Do note that Huawei ONTs do not support dual mode, so if you need GPON get HG8310M and for EPON get HG8010H.
Dont have the Huawei option here in NAgpur. Unless I wait for a month from AliExpress. And even then might come with the corona virus lel. So will pick up locally or Netlink. That netlink website contact hasnt responded in 2 days lol
I called their helpline and whatsapped it and havent heard back.. Seeing that I wondered what they'd do in case of problems if they cant reply to presales queries..
There is some Optilink stuff available offline, so thinking of checking that.
