A fed up Airtel Broadband user...now with Reliance wireline broadband

Your usage is still good. Since last couple of months, my monthly usage is few GBs! :O

I'm really enjoying it buddy(ofcourse with downtime (Min 5 hrs - Max 12 hrs) once in 2 months due to cable issue(coz of rain) from the main hub). I luckily got a friendly speaking REL guy who has asked to call him personally if i face any issue with the line..Now the problem is due to my busy schedule my usage has gone down for the past couple of months....haha



Sorry late reply again ... but was really busy man...
i called that number dude , no one picked it up . one time someone did pick it up but cut the call immediately .
got frustrated with reliance and applied for you hurricane plan man...

faced 48 hrs downtime:sad:...due to cable issue in my area..now got fixed...wuuffff

I had a very short stint of 5 months and got rid of them.... they were a bigger pain than airtel for me

Been reading this thread now. I am also terminating Airtel and migrating. 99.9% of the time Airtel connects without any problem. The only time I got a problem was when my modem went kaput. Can I expect the same sort of reliability from Reliance wired line in Chennai?

If ur satisfied with Airtel 99.9% then u need not think of Reliance at all. I thrown out airtel coz they had worst broadband plans with FUP for a higher price that i cant afford.

I am not satisfied with Airtel 99.9%. I am saying that its connected without issues 99.9% of the time. I am still having issues with the billing dept. each month. That is why I am looking at Reliance. Again if any one can give pointers, how good is Reliance connectivity? Are there major downtimes? How is the customer support?

@kaush666 i suggest you go for Reliance Wired Line Metro Ethernet or WiMax With Static IP NOT ADSL Technology. As my experience with Reliance WiMax plan 1536 Kbps with Static IP 1 year working great no issue getting Download (1536Kbps = 1.5 Mbps) and Upload (1536Kbps = 1.5Mbps) Speed more then that mentioned on there site and no downtime like ADSL MTNL or FAILTEL.I don't think WiMax is Alternate if no other GOOD ISP available in your area

Why would you not recommend the ADSL technology of Reliance Broadband? I have applied for a spare connection - just to test their reliability and quality of service in Trivandrum.. Over here they provide only the ADSL broadband..

Is wired line metro ethernet still available? I see only Reliance Wireline and Reliance Netconnect on their page.
